The main entrance to the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center is located between Great Meadows and Buttzville on Rt. 46 approximately 8 miles west of Hackettstown in scenic Warren County. The mailing and 911 address (and rear entrance) is 605 Pequest Rd., Oxford, NJ 07863.
From North Jersey:
From Rt. 80: Take Exit #19 (Rt. 517): Go south toward Hackettstown approximately 5 miles. At the traffic light in downtown Hackettstown make a right onto Rt. 46 West (Main St.). Go approximately 9 miles to hatchery entrance on eastbound side.
From Rt. 78: Take Exit #17 (Rt. 31): Take Rt. 31 North approximately 17 miles to its end at Rt. 46. Make a right onto Rt. 46 East. Hatchery entrance is approximately 2.5 miles.
From South Jersey:
From Garden State Parkway: Take GSP North to Exit #127 immediately after the Driscoll Bridge over the Raritan River. Follow signs for Rt. 440/I-287 North. Take Rt. 287 North to exit #30 onto Rt. I-78 West. Follow Rt. 78 directions above.
From NJ Turnpike/I-295:
Take the NJ TPK North to crossover to I-295 North. Take I-295 North around Trenton to I-95 South. Take Exit #4 onto Rt. 31 North. Continue on Rt. 31 North approximately 43 miles to Rt. 46. Make a right onto Rt. 46 East. Hatchery entrance is approximately 2.5 miles.
