Winter 2014 Trout Stocking Schedule

The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife will again be stocking trout as part of the Winter Trout Stocking Program. Beginning Monday, November 24, 2014, 9,500 yearling (8"-10") brown and rainbow trout will be stocked in 23 lakes throughout the state.

The winter stocking is the final one each year, bringing the total of trout stocked from the Pequest State Trout Hatchery in Warren County.

Below is the list of waters being stocked with numbers of trout. These lakes range in size from five to 100 acres and have shoreline access and/or boat launching sites. Temporary program changes, if any, will be noted below the list.

11/24/14 - Due to anticipated severe weather, stockings scheduled for Wednesday, November 26 will be completed on Tuesday, November 25.

Hook's Creek Lake (Middlesex Co.) will not be stocked due to continued high salinity resulting from Superstorm Sandy. The fish allocated for Hook's Creek Lake will be redistributed throughout the appropriate winter trout stocked lakes.
